This page explains which personal data this website collects, why, who receives it, how long it is kept and which rights you can exercise. It describes only what this website actually does.
Who processes your data
The controller of the personal data collected on this website is:
OPTIM'FOR CONVEYORS

- info@ofc-eu.com
- Legal form

No data protection officer has been appointed: the nature and scale of the processing described below does not require one. Your requests are handled at the address above.
What we collect, and why
Contact form
- Data
- First name, surname, email address, telephone number, the content of your message, and the file you attach if you add one.
- Purpose
- Handling your request and replying to you.
- Legal basis
- Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (GDPR article 6.1.a). The form is not sent unless it is ticked.
- Retention period
- 2 years, as stated on the form.
Protection of the forms against robots
- Data
- Your IP address, your browser identifier, and technical characteristics of your device and your browsing: screen dimensions, graphics and audio capabilities, language, time zone, and the way you move through the page. These elements serve only to tell a person apart from an automated program.
- Purpose
- Preventing automated submissions in our forms. Without this protection, real requests are lost among robot submissions: on one of our forms, nine out of ten were exactly that.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in protecting our forms against abuse (article 6.1.f GDPR). The check is carried out by Myra Security GmbH, a company established in Munich, acting as a processor and handling this data in data centres located within the European Union. It undertakes contractually to use it for that security purpose only, not to use it for marketing, and not to identify you as a person. No cookie is placed on your device. This check cannot be switched off: making it optional would amount to allowing it to be bypassed.
- Retention period
- The proof computed by your browser is valid once only and expires after one hour. The verification data is kept by the provider for as long as is necessary for the check and to prevent abuse.
Website audience measurement
- Data
- The pages viewed, the page you came from, the device type and the country. These measurements are aggregated: they cannot identify you and are not used to build any profile.
- Purpose
- Knowing which pages are viewed, in order to improve the site.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in knowing the traffic to our own website (article 6.1.f). The tool used, Umami, is an instance of our own: only we have access to it, and nobody reuses these measurements. It sets no cookies, which is what allows us to rely on legitimate interest rather than consent. The measurements are stored in our database hosted in Switzerland, but the service receiving them is provided by Vercel Inc. and run in the United States: see the section on transfers.
- Retention period
- The aggregated measurements are kept in order to follow how traffic changes over time.
YouTube videos
- Data
- Your IP address and the information YouTube collects when a video is displayed, including cookies placed on your device.
- Purpose
- Letting you watch the videos published on this website.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (article 6.1.a), requested by the site's banner. Until you give it, the video is replaced by its preview image - served from this site, not from Google - and no request is sent to YouTube.
- Retention period
- Determined by Google, under its own privacy rules.
Who receives your data
The data you send us through a form is stored in a database we administer, hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland. Switzerland is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission, which recognises its law as offering a level of protection equivalent to that of the Union. A notification email is then sent to the people in our company who handle the request; its delivery is entrusted to a sending provider established in the European Union, acting as a processor and making no other use of it.
The external services listed above receive directly the data that concerns them. Those that keep the site working act as processors: they handle that data on our behalf, following our instructions, and make no other use of it. Those you accept through the banner handle it under their own responsibility, according to their respective policies.
Your data is never sold, rented, or passed to third parties for commercial purposes.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some of the services described above are provided by companies established in the United States, and the data concerning them may be transferred there. These transfers rely on the adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission on 10 July 2023 (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), which those providers have joined.

Cookies and choices
This website sets no cookies of its own. Only the external services listed above do, and only after your agreement. Your choice is stored in your browser without a cookie, using local storage; it is never sent to anyone. It is kept for six months; after that, you are asked again.
You can change your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it, through the “Preferences and cookies” link at the bottom of every page. Refusing is as simple as accepting, and does not prevent you from browsing the site.
Your rights
Regarding the personal data concerning you, you have the following rights:
- Access - find out whether we process data about you, and obtain a copy of it.
- Rectification - have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure - have your data deleted when keeping it is no longer justified.
- Restriction - ask for processing to be frozen while a point is checked.
- Objection - object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
- Portability - receive the data you provided to us in a machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent - take back an agreement at any time, without calling into question what was done before.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address given at the top of this page. We reply within one month. We may ask you to prove your identity, but only where that is necessary to avoid disclosing your data to someone else.
Lodging a complaint
If you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority:
- Belgian Data Protection Authority
- Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels
- +32 (0)2 274 48 00
- contact@apd-gba.be
We would be grateful if you contacted us first: most difficulties are settled with a single email.
Updates to this policy
This policy is dated. It is updated whenever what the site does changes - a service added, a form modified. The version in force is the one you are reading.
